About the Doctor
Dr. Hector John Marti Hernandez is a compassionate and driven physician with a strong foundation in both primary care and acute medical settings. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Marti is known for his empathetic approach, fast learning, and unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
A graduate of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, Dr. Marti obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree after completing rigorous clinical training and community outreach through the Programa de Medicina en la Comunidad, a humanitarian initiative focused on underserved populations. He completed his internship at Hospital Metropolitano de San Germán, Puerto Rico, before entering active clinical practice.
Beyond traditional medicine, Dr. Marti has pursued certifications in health and performance coaching and personal training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He has designed training and recovery protocols for elite athletes, including those representing Puerto Rico and the United States in Olympic-level skateboarding. An active skateboarder himself, he serves as an International Judge for World Skate, promoting creativity and progression within the sport.
Dr. Marti holds a bachelor’s degree in General Sciences from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico, where he graduated cum laude and earned recognition through several honors programs and academic societies.
